Agricultural teaching aims to combine tradition, experience and new methods. At different locations of the school, the agriculture students are trained in an realistic environment for their future career. The objective is to provide the student with solid basic-level know-how for working in different farming professions and those who intend to become farming entrepreneurs. The training provides the student with skills which enable him or her to work as a farming entrepreneur or e.g. as a vacation substitute. Students can specialise as animal caretakers, countryside entrepreneurs or as farmers.

Adult education uses the potentials offered by multi-method teaching to provide an environment for individual learning. The students can get personal consultation for developing their own farm. Distant teaching consists of mapping out the student's own production potential, information gathering and work exercises which the student completes at home. The immediate teaching taking place at the institute concentrates on theories, expert lectures and visits to farms.
