The road to Tuorla

The Countryside College of Southwest Finland is located on the Vanha Kuninkaantie, in the middle of the beautiful country side. Tuorla is located on the seashore where you can enjoy a real sea breeze or go canoeing in the nearby archipelago. The fields full of crops and the apple orchids shining red in the autumn weather give you a hint of that what is called a happy life.

By car

Tuorla is located on the Turku – Helsinki road (number 110), right on the border of the Kaarina and Piikkiö municipalities. The distance from Turku is about 13 km. >From the motorway take the exit to Raadelma, which rises to the east of Tuorla, after which take the 110 road for about 1 km towards Turku.

By bus

All busses from Turku to Salo, with the exception of the Express busses, stop at the Tuorla bus stop. The nearest Express bus stop is in Kaarina and the distance from there to Tuorla is about 4 km. Also some of the Turku local traffic busses drive by the Tuorla bus stop on their way to Piikkiö and Paimio. The fare from Turku to Tuorla is 3.40 euros.

By train, boat or flight

The nearest train stop is in Turku, as are the nearest port and airport. All of the local traffic busses that drive through the train station go through the market-place. Both from the port and the airport the number 1 bus takes you to the market-place, where you can change to a bus leaving from Aurakatu, which will take you to Tuorla. The same number 1 bus also goes through the bus station. If you have the energy, you can go to the Tuomiokirkkotori on Uudenmaankatu, through which all the Tuorla busses go.

The road to the Paimio site

The distance from the centre of Paimio to both Turku and Salo is about 30 km. The forest and game economy and animal sector training site of the Countryside College of Southwest Finland is situated about 9 km from the centre of Paimio towards Salo in the direction of Vaskio. The place is the tranquil and natural Taatila village.

By car

You can take the Turku - Helsinki (number 110) road or the E18 motorway to Paimio. You can exit the motorway either from the Tammisilta or the Paimio exit. >From the centre of Paimio continue towards the Paimio hospital. Drive about 4 km past the hospital until the road forks to Vaskio and Metsäkoulu. >From the crossing the distance to the "Metsäkoulu" (=the Countryside College) is about one kilometre. Our site is a four-story yellow building by the Taatilantie. You can also reach our site by the Salo - Aura road or the Hämeentie (number 10 road).
